Eleven years after a plane crash, Mick Brisgau reappears unexpectedly — scarred by island life, but determined to reclaim his old life. But no sooner is he back in the Ruhr region than he finds himself under suspicion of murder. With his old friend and colleague Andreas, he fights to prove his innocence – and although he is no longer a police officer, he throws himself into the investigation.
