Overzicht
Robin finishes her story and says that while she considers the Straw Hats her friends, she believes that one day, they will be no longer able to protect her from her pursuers, and betray her like the others did. After Spandam points out that taking in Robin means declaring war on the entire world, Luffy tells Sogeking to shoot the World Government flag. Sogeking uses his Sure-kill Firebird Star to burn up the flag, declaring war on the world for Robin's sake. Robin, moved by the depth of Luffy's action, cries out that she wants to live and return to the sea with Luffy, and Luffy and the others prepare to do battle with CP9 and save Robin.

One Piece animatie is gebaseerd op de succesvolle strip van Eiichiro Oda. De strip is meer dan 260 miljoen keer verkocht. Het succes houdt niet op; de One Piece animatieserie staat de afgelopen jaren in de top 5 van tv-kijkcijfers voor kinderprogramma's in Japan en de meest recente speelfilm van de serie, "One Piece Film Z", die in december 2012 werd uitgebracht, heeft tot nu toe 5,6 miljoen kijkers getrokken. Het succes gaat over de grenzen heen; de animatie is erg populair op een terrestrisch kanaal in Taiwan, staat op nummer 1 qua kijkcijfers voor animatie op een DTT-kanaal in Frankrijk en genoot in 2010 grote populariteit onder de leeftijd van 3-13 jaar op een terrestrisch kanaal in Duitsland.
