Overview

Golf coach Toni Brendel is found dead on the Berchtesgaden golf course. Everything points to murder. Toni Brendel, who wanted to influence the future of the golf club with ambitious construction plans, did not have only friends. Club president Julius Greiner, who wanted to prevent Toni's plans and whose reputation was damaged by Toni's slander, is just as much a suspect as Toni's betrayed wife Pia Brendel and his mistress Franziska Schachtner. In the course of the investigation, many motives and clues emerge, but there is no evidence. Only after Toni's past has been examined more closely and Beissl has resorted to an unconventional criminalistic ruse can the perpetrator be unmasked.

About the show

The series revolves around Chief Inspector Benedikt Beissl (Andreas Giebel), who lives in Berchtesgaden with his wife Elisabeth and their three daughters, Maria, Johanna, and Eva. Beissl has been upholding law and order in Berchtesgaden for decades. Much to his annoyance, he is one day assigned a new colleague. Until now, the solitary inspector has preferred to work alone. His new partner, Jerry Paulsen (Peter Marton), is the son of a Black GI and a landlady from Bad Aibling. He is quite daring, a team player, and moved from Hamburg to Bavaria for love. However, Jerry's love interest happens to be Beissl's daughter, Johanna. In each episode, the two police commissioners must solve a murder in the area. The locally rooted Beissl often knows the victims, their environment, and potential perpetrators.
