Max and Caro find the body of a young man in a tent. Mia Sager, who was staying in the tent, has disappeared. Beissl and Jerry's investigations quickly lead them to a popular backpacker hostel. And to its operator, Tom Sager, the father of the missing girl. To his dismay, his daughter was in a relationship with the victim. Beissl is increasingly annoyed by Tom Sager's lack of cooperation with the investigators – the conflict between the two fathers is escalating. And with it, the suspicion that Tom Sager killed his daughter's boyfriend to prevent her from running away with him. But then Jerry finds out that the missing girl had every reason to be jealous of her boyfriend. Did she stab him in a fit of rage? The search for Mia Sager proves fruitless... until the detectives discover that she is being hidden by an old childhood friend.
Sobre a série
A série é sobre o Inspetor-Chefe Benedikt Beissl (Andreas Giebel), que vive em Berchtesgaden com a sua esposa Elisabeth e as suas três filhas Maria, Johanna e Eva. Beissl tem assegurado a lei e a ordem em Berchtesgaden durante décadas. Para seu desagrado, um dia recebeu um novo colega. Até agora, o inspetor solitário adorava fazer o seu trabalho sozinho. O seu novo colega Jerry Paulsen (Peter Marton) é filho de um GI negro e da filha de um estalajadeiro de Bad Aibling. Ele é bastante ousado e capaz de trabalhar em equipa, tendo-se mudado de Hamburgo para a Baviera por motivos amorosos. Mas a eleita de Jerry é, nada mais nada menos, do que a filha de Beissl, Johanna. Os dois comissários da polícia têm de resolver um homicídio na zona em cada episódio. Beissl, com raízes locais, conhece muitas vezes as vítimas, bem como o seu ambiente e potenciais autores.
