Suddenly, high school student Subaru Natsuki is summoned to another world while returning from a convenience store. Facing the greatest crisis of his life, with no sign of the person who summoned him, matters worsen when he is attacked. However, after being saved by a mysterious, silver-haired girl and her fairy cat, Subaru decides to help her return the favor. When they finally find a clue, Subaru and the girl are attacked and killed. Subaru then awakens at the location where he was first summoned, realizing he has gained the ability "Returns by Death," which allows him to rewind time by dying.
